Bohol’s Coastal Road and some of their Municipalities


Tubigon is a 1st class municipality and seaport in the province of Bohol. This municipality is known for its Lambay or crabs. Tubigon is subdivided into 34 barangays.     
Agricultural and fishing is the primary industries. Tubigon is in the middle of Bohol’s lush northwestern coast.
Ubay is the island largest metropolis after the capital. This municipality is subdivided into 44 barangays. It has a lively market on the sea. And there are plenty Filipino’s eateries on the water edge. It is situated 124 kilometers northeast from the provincial capital of Bohol.
Guindulman is a third municipality in Bohol. It has a population of 32,355 people. It has a 19 barangays. The term of Guindulman is derived from the root word Dulom or Du-om in shirt which is means Dark. In this place there are healthy coral reefs that are good for snorkeling or diving.
Anda is a 5th class municipality in Bohol and it has sandy white beaches that are excellent for sun worshipers and snorkelers. This is politically subdivided into 16 barangays. This municipality is surrounded hilly land that is unsuitable for rice, and corn.
Candijay this municipality is located at the eastern side of Bohol that ism about 92.2 kilometers from Tagbilaran. The name of the town is from the words Kang Dihay meaning belonging to Dihay. This town is divided into 21 barangays.
Talibon is on the north and one of the busiest centers in Bohol. It has a land area of 177.04 square kilometers. This is divided into 25 barangays. Talibon is originally part of Inabanga.
Buenavista is subdivided into 35 barangays; it has a friendly and picturesque market on a mangrove inlet. This municipality has a population of 26.443 people.
Antequera is about 20km from Tagbilaran. This town has its annual fiesta in early October. This municipality is subdivided into 21 barangays. The popular place in Antequera is the Mag-aso Falls. It is cascading waters run into a natural pool that invites for swimming in the scenic surroundings.      
Alburquerque this is a coastal town that is well known for its magnificent church and belfry that was built in 1886. There are also several waterfalls on the edge of the town. This municipality is about 12 km from the Tagbilaran
Baclayon is about 6km from Tagbilaran. This town is the hometown of award winning actor Cesar Montano. It has a population of 18,015 people living. This municipality is divided into 17 barangays. In this town here you can see the oldest church in the Philippines.
Bilar is a 5th class municipality in Bohol; it has a population of 17,078 people living in this town. This is divided into 19 barangays. This is also popular for the Logarita Spring which is a public swimming hole that overlooking the rice fields. This town is about 40km east of Tagbilaran.
There are some of the municipalities in Bohol Island but it would take to long to mention all of them.
