Main Churches in Bohol

Santa Monica Parish is located along the highway of town of Alburquerque. This parish was established in 1869 after being separated from Baclayon Bohol. It is built in light materials and made of rubble, wood, and tabique. The church interior is been renovated in the 20^th century.

Nuestra Señora Del Rosario is parish of Antequera that was founded in 1880. 

Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception is one of the best preserved Jesuit build churches in the region. This is located in Baclayon which is the oldest churches in the Philippines.  

Calape Church is dedicated to San Vicente Ferrier that was founded in 1802. This is located in Calape town which named after the type of rattan. This Calape church is goo example how the colonial styles persisted.

St. Michael the Archangel is located in Clarin is founded in 1924 after being a visita of Inabanga in 1852. The church traces to the 1920’s when Recollects built over a provisional church raised in 1924. This was damaged in an earthquake of 1996 and had to torn down and replaced with more stable structure.      

Church of Our Lady of the Assumption that is located in Dauis on the Island of Panglao. The church was founded by the Jesuits Fr. Diego de Ayala and Joseph Gregorio. The church is built in a mixture of style both Byzantine and Romanesque.

San Nicolas Tolentino Parish is located in Dimiao Bohol. This church has a record of baptism in the parish of 1750. The church was built toward the later half of the 19^th century. The church interior is simple and the convento is located behind the church and is now a school.

San Miguel Archangel Parish is the parish church of Jagna that is established in 1631. This present of Jagna is greatly renovated after suffering damage from a typhoon in the 1980’s.

Santa Cruz Parish that is founded in 1768 that is located in Maribojoc town.

San Agustin Parish is the Church of Panglao Island.
